Sturdy glassware can save foodeservice operators from significant replacement costs. One way to create sturdy glassware is to treat it with titanium reinforcement, but what does that actually mean?

By applying nanotechnologies directly to a glass stem, the stem glass surface is hardened, creating a resistance to abrasion. These abrasions are responsible for stemware fragility during daily usage, but a glass that has been TITANIUM Reinforced ® is 140 percent more resistant to breakages.

TITANIUM Reinforced glass treatments were developed by the Luigi Bormioli Research and Development department as the first ever titanium reinforcement process. This guarantees the stems' resistance to breakages even after multiple industrial washing cycles.

In addition, titanium reinforcement maintains glass sparkle and transparency while avoiding any potential for glass discoloration. Other glass treatments can disappear after washing cycles and lead to unwanted optical effects and reduced resistance to breakages.
