Purity Pearls from Bauscher was awarded with a Tabletop Award from Foodservice Equipment Reports magazine as part of its 2017 Smallwares and Tabletop Contest.
A total of 111 items were entered into the competition, with 80 making it to the final round for judging. Top honors went to seven smallwares entries (from a field of 28 finalists) and 11 tabletop entries (from a field of 52 finalists). Four smallwares and tabletop specialists, one from a foodservice operator, and three others from major E&S dealerships, served as judges.
The judges used a specific set of criteria to make their selections. To qualify, tabletop product entries included products designed for front-of-house use at commercial foodservice operations.
Examples include dinnerware (plates, cups, glassware, silverware, placemats, etc.), buffetware, servingware, beverageware, napkin or condiment dispensers, trays and the like. Products designed for retail or consumer use were not eligible.
