Favorites. We all like to decide what is best and then list them out. Top ten movies. Best Mexican food. Popular travel destinations. People even rank drinking glasses.

Business Insider is no different, and they recently published their review of drinking glasses.

As they discussed, there are two types of glasses: soda-lime and tempered. Tempered glasses are usually more durable and can stand up to both hot and cold beverages, which was part of the criteria they used when selecting winners in the best drinking glass categories.

They researched hundreds of rankings and reviews on a wide range of glassware manufacturers, and they came to several conclusions. Here is one of them:

Duralex Picardie Clear Tumblers win the award for the best drinking glass design.

The reason they selected Duralex Picardie as the best drinking glass design is a combination of durability and style. Simply put, "If you're looking for drinkware with a classic look that feels satisfying to drink out of and can handle abuse, turn to the Duralex Picardie Clear Tumblers."

Made of tempered glass suited for maximum durability, they are designed to hold beverages with temperatures ranging from -4º F up to 212º F, meaning they can go from the fridge to the freezer, from the microwave to the dishwasher.

In tests, tumblers survived several falls and were listed as "pleasant to drink out of" because of a slightly flared lip. The bottom line is a comfortable feel, the ability to withstand drops onto hard surfaces, and an attractive, bistro design are qualities that garnered Duralex's Picardie Clear Tumblers the award for best drinking glass design.
