Social Media for Restaurants

At Bauscher Hepp, we keep ourselves on the cutting edge of tabletop. And with that responsibility comes knowing what restaurants really need (before they know they need it). Keep reading to find out how to get more customers in your restaurant.

Having a great menu, an eye-catching sign, and word-of-mouth is sure to get your restaurant buzzing, but after a while, it gets difficult to bring in new customers. And how can you reach those customers?

One effective way of reaching customers is by finding them where they are. And in an age where even great-grandmothers are on Facebook, it's on social media.

Because of their visual nature, Instagram and Snapchat are particularly effective for restaurants. But don't take our word for it. Here's a real-life example.

bauscherhepp.pngSnapchat geofilters are a fun and effective way to get more traffic in the door. We created our own Bauscher Hepp branded geofilter that customers of twenty D.C. restaurants were able to use.

In total, we had 39,000 views of the filter and 740 uses. Geofilters are a fun way to increase foot traffic, and also get people snapping photos inside your establishment.

Felicia Perry-Trujillo, a well-known photographer and marketer in Raleigh's food and beverage industry, and CEO of Food-Seen, has this to say about social media,

"Active engagement on social media is invaluable to any business. This means that in addition to regularly posting on social media, you are following, liking and commenting on your client base's accounts. We have had several notable chefs contact Bauscher Hepp via Twitter and Instagram direct messenger and request to be connected with a sales rep."
