An August Take on Soup and Salad

Chef Kevin Chong of the Chef Mavro Restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii originally created this summer-inspired dish for the August 2009 Deep Plate Exercise.

It's a spiced Kahuku corn soup with a summer onion salad and lime crème fraîche. The image was taken by Mark "Gooch" Noguchi.
